Highlights of Product Developments

1988

Thomas Schwarzmueller develops a closed loop control for AC induction motors in his diploma theses, which achieves the performance of field oriented controls with a calculating capacity and the costs of a standard frequency converter. At the time field oriented controllers are very intricate and expensive.

1989

This controller is introduced at the Hannover fair and is of great interest in the industry of motor controls.

Several well-known frequency converter companies assign Thomas Schwarzmüller with the implementation of his controller into their frequency converters.

1992

The Schwarzmüller-controller is used in a fork-lift by Linde

1994

In the newly founded Schwarzmüller GmbH the development of an inverter for material handling applications begins.

1995

Development of an electronic steering controller (without mechanical connection between steering wheel and drive gear) with an AC induction motor.

1997

Serial production of electronic steering and inverters for traction drive and pump drive for material handling vehicles (series A)

Schwarzmüller GmbH achieves top ranking in technological migration of DC drive to AC drive in fork lifts.

1998

Schwarzmüller GmbH shows the first competitive inverter for 24V fork lift trucks at the Hannover exhibition.

1999

The low-cost pallet truck Swift-EME from Jungheinrich is equipped with the inverter from Schwarzmüller GmbH
